Voltage regulator p/n 11631857, NSN 2920008007218. 25 Amp, 28 Volt DC. Mil-spec, made in USA.
For 25 Amp generators as used in the M37, early M35 and M54, etc. Works with generator models GHA4804UT and 10950808.
New style regulator, transistorized, no relays. Replaces models VBC-4004UT, VBC-4002UT. Regulates charging voltage and electronically limits current to 25 Amps to protect generator from overload/overheating. (inexpensive aftermarket units do not have current limiting) Sealed against dust and water. Direct replacement for old style vibrating relay type. Eliminates voltage instability and pulsating that was common with the old relay style regulators.
