Jeff adds about the boat: "The Whale boat has a 4 cylinder Westerbeke/Perkins diesel. She's SLOW.. Maybe 7 knots on a good day. But a good beer drinking boat, just sips fuel (half a gallon an hour!) and she looks pretty good with the stars and stripes flying on the stern. The fiberglass canopy on it is supposed to be pretty rare. Apparently they were only on boats assigned to officers.. The general purpose boats didn't have them."
